Gilera updates DNA

1 of 1

Gilera has launched an updated version of its DNA 50 with a new styling and improved handling.

Gilera has seen the massive rise in popularity of naked bikes and that reflects in the changes to the DNA. It no longer uses the dropped clip-on sports style handle bars, opting instead for more upright MX style bars.

There is a new 15-inch front wheel, which should improve the handling of the DNA while a 240mm front disc and 200mm rear disc should bring it to a stop in no time.

The styling on the DNA was starting to get a bit dated so Gilera has completely updated it with new colours and reworked bodywork.

The key to the DNA’s success is its ability to offer the looks of a real bike combined with the practicality of a scooter. And with the new styling and bigger wheel combined with a dummy tank with enough space to store a full-face lid it looks like Gilera have gone one step better.

The new DNA is available now for £1999 on the road.
