Two new KTMs for 06

KTM has revealed two more new bikes for 2006 at the Milan Bike Show in Italy, a new Adventure using the 990 engine and a 950 Super Enduro R.

The 990 Adventure replaces the 950 Adventure. it comes with the proven light-weight engine from the LC8 in the 999cc form of the Superduke. It meets Euro III emissions regs.

The bike is available in two forms; the Adventure S has longer-travel suspension and new Dakar-Design graphics. The standard 990 Adventure is slightly lower and has ABS, which can be disabled for off road work. You can choose from orange-grey and black-grey.

The Super Enduro R is derived from the 950 Adventure with a new front fender and headlight unit, new one-piece 14-litre tank and narrower seat. Suspension travel is increased from 250mm to 255mm.

The bike will take on directly BMW’s new HP2 1200cc off-roader and the firm plans to race the bike next year.
