2006 R1200GS revealed

This is the BMW which made its world debut at the NEC Bike Show’s press day in Birmingham, on Thursday (Oct 27) – the 2006 R1200GS Adventure.

The R1200GS is a replacement for the popular R1150 GS Adventure.

With its new boxer twin 1200cc engine it will deliver more power but it is also promised to have less weight with improved off road capabilities.

Visitors will be able to meet Long Way Round star Charley Boorman on the BMW stand during the first weekend of the show.

The BMW stand is number T283 and is located in hall 18 at the NEC, Birmingham. Preview day is Friday 28 October and public days are from Saturday 29 October until Sunday 6 November.
