BMW HP2 best in show

BMW’s R1200GS based HP2 enduro bike has been voted best bike at the Paris bike show by a team of design experts.

The Motorcycle Design Association (MDA) looked at everything at the show, judging on innovation, clarity of concept and the integration of bodywork with mechanical components as well as the overall the overall look of the bike.

But it was BMW’s extreme interpretation of the GS big trailie that they thought showed the most innovation.

“It’s a strong statement that is almost Ducati-like in its minimalism and yet still every bit a BMW. It’s the perfect example of how less can mean more.” Said MDA co-founder and President Glynn Kerr.
