BMW to debut at NEC

BMW is out to steal the NEC Show in Birmingham with a world premier of a new 2006 model.

It will be shown for the first time on October 27 – to the world’s bike press. The show’s first public day is the 29th.

motorcyclenews.com is being run from the NEC Show for the duration – so we’ll bring you first pictures as they happen. We’re planning to broadcast live streaming sound and images from the show, too. You’ll find us at the MCN stand in the race paddock.

“To have a world premier on the BMW Motorrad stand at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show is going to be incredible,” said BMW Motorrad UK’s General Manager Motorcycles, Adrian Roderick.

“2005 has seen BMW Motorrad successfully launch several ‘new generation’ motorcycles, including the K1200 S, K1200 R and HP2 Enduro, as well as the R1200 RT and ST boxer twins. Our product offensive will continue to gather steam in 2006, so it will be exciting for press and public to see how BMW’s new philosophy has been developed even further when the new model is unveiled at the show.”

The BMW stand is number T283 in hall 7. Preview day is Friday 28 October and public days run from Saturday October 29 until Sunday November 6.
