150bhp Buell revealed

1 of 1

Buell is to offer a 150bhp production racing version of its XBR Firebolt.

The privateer 2007 bike takes the company full circle. Buell started life with the 1983 RX750 Harley-based racer. It is now part of Harley-Davidson.

The new bike uses a modified XB Thunderstorm 1339cc (103.6mm bore x 79.4mm stroke) air/oil-cooled V-twin motor and makes 150bhp at the crank, says Buell.

An engine modification kit will be available to help it conform to a wide range of race classes. Only 50 will be made and sold at a list price in the US of $30,995 (£17,400).
