The electric Daytona

Alongside the Enertia purpose-made electric motorcycle, Nevada firm evDaytona motorcycles is another company working on electric motorcycles – but with more of a performance angle.  

The company has revealed its prototype sports motorcycle based on a Triumph Daytona 600. With a 93mph top speed, a 2.9s 0-60 time and a range of 149 miles it promises to offer similar performance to a conventional motorcycle – albeit at a cost; $77,000US.

Fortunately the firm promises the production version will be prettier than the current prototype…
