Ducati Streetfighter weight revealed

Ducati Streetfighter project leader Giulio Malagoli has just revealed the new 155bhp bike’s weight and the world press launch in Spain.

The streetfighter S weighs just 167kg dry, making it 17kg lighter than the bike it replaces, the S4RS, and the best in class.

Although it looks just like a crashed 1098, it is actually a completely new bike, using a cross between the 1098 and 1198’s engines. The frame is shorter, the tank is 1inch shorter and the seat unit is 3inches shorter than the 1098.

MCN will be riding the bike in about half an hour.
