New MV 675cc triple will spearhead company relaunch

1 of 1

New MV Agusta owner Claudio Castigilioni has confirmed a 675cc three-cylinder sportbike and Brutale will be at the heart of the relaunch of the Italian firm.

MCN has caught the 675cc – called the F3 – testing a number of times in the past year but development was halted because of the uncertainty over the future of the company once former owners Harley-Davidson opted to sell.

In October 2009, Harley-Davidson announced its intention to sell MV Agusta as part of a new corporate strategy to focus resources on the Harley-Davidson brand.

Since then, Harley-Davidson has held discussions with various potential MV Agusta buyers. Castigilioni ended up buying the company for one Euro (83p).

More details on the bike and Castiglioni’s plans in next week’s MCN, out August 18.
