Dorsoduro 1200 leak: Aprilia stay silent

Aprilia is remaining tight-lipped after a 183 page owners manual for the new 1200cc Dorsoduro was leaked on the internet.

The official document confirms MCN’s insider reports of the past two years about the existence of the supermoto-style bike.

The manual was posted online by an Aprilia owners forum and reveals the bike – which will rival KTM’s 990SM among others – is powered by an all-new liquid-cooled 1197cc V-twin which slots into the Dorsoduro 750 frame.

In true owners manual style most of it concerns instructions on how to use the seat and warnings not to put fuel in the tyres. However, there are full specifications for the bike and details of the electronics package.
