New Kawasaki ZX-10R to land in Europe late August

Kawasaki’s sharper new ZX-10R will touch down in Europe for the first time in late August, with your first chance to see it being at the Nurburgring WSB round on 5 September, MCN believes.

The presentation will be part of Kawasaki’s onging attempt to convince the world THIS time it means WSB business, a campaign which began when it debuted the bike in a public test at Suzuka last week.

But the sense of purpose around the new Ninja isn’t just marketing hype – around 10 of the firm’s top engineers (and MotoGP refugees) have formed a new department within the company focused solely on WSB.  

This team has led development of the new bike, with the roadbike division playing a secondary role – a reversal of the normal situation for any Japanese firm.
