Rieju’s RS3 125LC learner sports bike will make its show debut at the BMF show in Peterborough this weekend (14 – 15 May).

Powered by the water-cooled Yamaha YZF-R125 engine, but using carburettors instead of fuel injection, it claimed the title of fastest four-stroke 125 in a recent MCN group test (April 27 2011).

In the test the RS3 was praised, with Chief Road Tester Trevor Franklin concluding that “based on the fun we had with this bike, the RS3 is definitely a stunning bit of kit for your £3299.”

Despite sharing it’s engine with the Yamaha, the RS3 outperforms it and at a saving of £900 over the Japanese bike, Rieju could well be on to a winner in the competitive sports 125 market.

The full range of Rieju bikes will be on display in the manufacturers village on stand Y42, between Honda and BMW.
