A new official Kawasaki teaser video has been released which shows what the front of the new ZZR1400 will look like and also reveals capacity has increased to 1440cc.
Kawasaki has already shown several teaser videos of the bike as it builds up excitement ahead of the official launch of the bike on October 10. The latest video shows designers sketching the front of the bike and it clearly shows new front lights on the new machine.
On screen graphics also show the bore and stroke as 84mm by 65mm which works out to be a capacity of 1440cc – up from 1352cc on the current bike which tallies with a claimed power figure estimated to be over 200bhp.
The new ZZR1400 will get the advanced K-ACT ABS braking system and K-TRC traction control systems along with some engine work to boost the mid and low range power along with making it more refined. The new ZX-10R superbike takes the advanced electronics in terms of ABS and traction control even further by using the latest Bosch 9 control systems.
It’s thought the new ZZR1400 will take the electronics from the bigger GTR1400 tourer, regarded as some of the best on the market but refresh them with the smaller and lighter control systems from Bosch.
The ram-air duct and windscreen are said to be restyled. The already stonking 200bhp peak power of the bike is also unlikely to change much as Kawasaki has concentrated all its efforts on improving the mid and low range torque and engine refinement.
