Aprilia has added a new model to the Caponord 1200 range in the form of this heavily-optioned Rally version which gets a host of new parts aimed at appealing to long distance riders and those who might take the bike off road for light use.

The Rally model gets a 19 inch spoked front wheel, 24-litre fuel tank, LED running lights, a larger windscreen plus a sump guard to protect the oil cooler and bodywork from stones and it gets the full complement of Aprilia’s class-leading electronics.

This new model makes up a third model in the recently relaunched Caponord range with a standard bike and the Travel model aimed at road riding only.

The electronic rider aids used on the 1197cc V-twin are state-of-the-art and include a fully ride-by-wire throttle, three engine maps traction control, cruise control, switchable ABS, as well as the class-leading, patented, aDD suspension system that automatically adapts its calibration to match the road surface and riding style.
