Those with a keen eye and long memory might recall the XJ6-based Moto Cage 6 that was unveiled as a concept bike a few years ago, and now Yamaha have applied the same creativity to the MT-07, and this time it’s a version you can buy.

Inspired by the stunt movement, the new MT-07 Moto Cage is a dealer-build edition with a new colour scheme, special tank and tail graphics, and a range of crash bars and protection.

The frame-mounted engine guards and tubular under guard help protect the MT from stunt fails, while the knuckle protectors and an adjustable front light mask help to reinforce the street aesthetic, along with the mismatched wheel colours and red radiator guards.

The Moto Cage is available in Matt Grey (with Moto Cage graphics) from November 2014 onwards – although the price is yet to be revealed.
