Husqvarna reveal details of revised FS450 supermoto

Husqvarna have just revealed details of their revised FS450 supermoto and it is the most advanced we’ve ever seen.

A tweaked motor makes 63bhp while weighing just 27kg, and there is a new frame, which also features a lighter-than-ever carbon subframe. Using 70% polyamide and 30% carbon fibre, the new two-piece subframe design saves 250g, for a total weight at just over 1kg.

Then there is traction control, launch control, a Suter slipper clutch and gigantic WP 48mm forks. The steel frame and carbon subframe is all-new.

Fabricated in sections it is stiffer than before and is bolted to a one-piece subframe unit that is 250g lighter than before.

The exhaust features an expansion chamber-type resonater designed to help reduce noise before the silencer does its job. All this tech will cost £9099.
