Kawasaki used the first day of this year’s annual Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham to unveil three special retro colour schemes for their 2024 Ninja ZX-10RR superbike.

On sale now as limited editions, the designs are reminiscent of the early 1990s ZXR750 and were created to mark the 40th anniversary of the Ninja superbike. The very first GPz900R Ninja debuted in 1984, with these latest variants being offered as a special, UK-only limited editions.

“The retro theme has become very popular over the past couple of years, and we thought it would be great to further celebrate 40 years of Ninja with these special liveries,” Kawasaki UK Sales and Marketing Manager, Craig Watson said. “We are sure they are going to be very popular, so it’s key that you speak to your local Kawasaki dealer as soon as possible!”

Kawasaki UK worked with Kar Lee Design to create a range of liveries for the ZX-10RR inspired by retro colours from the last four decades. The Japanese brand’s UK social media followers then voted for their favourite, with UK paint specialist SprayBay turning the three most popular into reality for their appearance on the Kawasaki stand at Motorcycle Live on Saturday, 18 November.

Just 40 tribute ZX-10RRs will be available, each with anniversary plates on the top yokes, and a special anniversary logo. Buyers can choose which of the three designs they prefer.

In addition to the unique colours, each bike also comes in Kawasaki’s ‘Performance Edition’ specification, meaning it’s equipped with an Akrapovic can, pillion seat cover, smoked screen and tank pad. Customers also receive a paddock stand, special bike cover and Ninja 40th anniversary keyring. Each costs £26,599 and is available to order from dealers now.
