Ricky Carmichael showed why he’s odds-on to retain his 250cc Supercross title win a dominant performance in St.Louis (Saturday, April 6).

Carmichael grabbed the holshot and never looked like losing his lead, but with a strong second place his Yamaha rival David Vuillemin has least kept the champion in sight and pegged Cramichael’s series lead back to just 17 points with four rounds remaining.

Cramichael said afterwards: ” It makes it easier when you get the holeshot. I just want to keep the ball rolling and win the remaining races. I’m not going to let up. ”

Despite a strong early performance his fellow Yamaha rider Jeremy McGrath was overhauled by Kawasaki’s Ezra Lusk for third spot.
