Meoni leads Dakar rally on KTM

Fabrizio Meoni is leading the Dakar rally on a KTM LC8 at the end of Friday’s stage.

The Italian is ahead of Spaniard Joan Roma, on a KTM LC4 and Carlo De Gavardo who is also on an LC4.

The rally, which this year runs from Arras in France, via Madrid, Spain, to Dakar in Senegal, began on December 28 and runs until January 13.

The bike competitors have now arrived in Zouerat.

On Saturday the rally tackles the Zouerat to Atar section before a rest day on Sunday.
