Hislop wins Oulton race one. Race two abandoned

Ducati riding Steve Hislop won race one of the MCN British superbike meeting at Oulton Park on Bank Holiday Monday.

Race two was halted after John Reynolds’ GSX-R1000 spilled oil over the track and four bikes crashed. After much deliberation race two was abandoned. For the full story of why and what the teams and rider think of the chaos, see MCN, out on Wednesday.

Race One result: Hislop, Rutter, Emmett, Brown, Reynolds, Plater. Full results to follow on Tuesday.

Race Two: Abandoned after eight laps (due to oil on the track) Half points likely to be awarded. Positions at point of abandonment: Rutter, Hislop, Emmett, Brown, Reynolds, Harris, Byrne, Thomas, Richards, Plater
