Everts injured in Supermoto crash

Reigning world 500cc motorcross champion Stefan Everts was injured after he crashed out Masters of Supermotard race in Belgium at the weekend.

He went down at the first corner after clashing with another rider. Everts suffered torn ligaments in his left leg in the accident, and chipped a bone in his ankle.

Doctors have told the six-time world champ that despite a six-week lay-off in plaster he won’t need surgery.
