Rider dies on Lap of Honour

A rider that finished in the top 10 of the Lightweight 400cc TT on Monday died taking part in the Lap of Honour at the Isle of Man TT just hours later.

Peter Jarmann, who was ninth in the Monday race which John McGuinness won, was riding a 1964 TSS Bultaco. The same bike he successfully competed in the Pre-TT Classic races at the Billown Circuit last week.

The 46-year-old mechanic from Uzwil, Switzerland was a regular at the TT and was scheduled to take part in three more races this week. He was only half a mile in to the 37.73mile lap when he crashed at Parkfield Crossroads.

It is not yet known what caused the accident. The Coroner us investigating.
