Bemsee’s first meeting of the year kicked off at Norfolk’s ‘fast and flat’ Snetterton on March 22.

The event was based around the two main series, the Supersport 600 A and B class. Other races included the Rookie and Superport 400s, Powerbike, and GP250s and 125s.

In the Supersport B class I managed to fight through food poisoning to claim 16th position on my Honda CBR600 in the 2nd leg, having missed the 1st race due uncontrollable vomiting.

If I was fit and running the same times as when I was last hear I would have won the race by at least 10 seconds.

It was also one of the 1st national meetings to see the Kawasaki ZX-6RR ridden by Mark ‘Mad Dog’ Davies who finished with a respectable 3rd and 5th in the Supersport 600 A class.

If you want to get your racing report on the web send it to angus.farquhar@emap.com by Monday morning and we will put it online.
