BSB comeback for former-champ Mackenzie

Three-times British Superbike champion Niall Mackenzie will race for the Rizla Suzuki team at the final round of the BSB championship at Donington Park.

The 42-year-old will stand in for injured Yukio Kagayama after being persuaded to return by Rizla team boss Paul Denning. And the Scot wouldn’t rule out a full-time return to racing if the right deal came along.

” I suspected they might ask me when Yuki got hurt. One thing that concerned me was that I believe youngsters should get the chance. But I went through all the pros and cons with Paul and I’m comfortable with my decision to accept. ”
