The MCN-backed British Supermoto Championship – the wildest and fastest growing form of motorcycle sport – descends on West Cumbria (formerly Cumberland) for an action packed day’s racing on Sunday June 27.

Eighty of the country’s best riders and twelve manufacturers will be fighting it out at Rowrah Stadium near Whitehaven and Workington making this the first time in known history that Cumbria has played host to a British Championship event held under ACU road race regulations. Rowrah is round six of an eight round championship.

This fantastic venue, situated in its own natural amphitheatre bowl, has seen over £300,000 worth of private investment over recent years and now boasts a long tarmac extension and a state-of-the-art club house, showers and catering facilities. A purpose built dirt section has also been constructed to provide a spectacular jump to entertain the crowds.

Action starts at 10am with full racing programme starting at 1pm. Admission costs £10 for adults and £5 for students and OAPs. Accompanied kids under sixteen go free. For more info please visit www.supermotoracing.net
