Reynolds outguns MotoGP stars at Valencia

1 of 1

John Reynolds lapped faster than two MotoGP riders when testing at Valencia over the weekend. And he was just a second a lap slower on the Suzuki GSX-R1000 British superbike than Gregorio Lavilla was on the Suzuki GSV-R MotoGP racer.

JR completed 40 laps in perfect weather on the final day of the test, Sunday. A host of MotoGP teams were testing at the Spanish circuit, too. Click here for our report on the MotoGP tests.

JR’s fastest (1:35.9s) came on normal Dunlop race rubber. Team-mate Yukio Kagayama, who is still on the comeback trail after serious injury at Cadwell Park in August, clocked a best of 1:36.9s.

JR and Yuki left Spain delighted and will go to next Sunday’s official British Superbike test at Donington Park with the fastest versions of their Rizla Suzuki GSX-R1000s ever. The British Superbike Championship starts at Silverstone on March 28.
