The Rockingham round of the 2004 British Superbike championship on July 18 has been moved to the Croft circuit in North Yorkshire.

The move has come after negotiations between the two circuits to allow better access to the racing for fans in the North of England. But Rockingham will get the round back in 2005.

Rockingham Chief Executive, Ashley Power said, ” BSB will be back at Rockingham in 2005. We are looking at giving this meeting a ‘Days of Thunder’ makeover with more off-track entertainment and a live band. This agreement is a commercial deal for Rockingham. ”

The revised 2004 British Superbikes calendar is:

28 March, Silverstone, Northamptonshire; 12 April, Brands Hatch Indy, Kent; 25 April, Snetterton, Norfolk; 3 May, Oulton Park, Cheshire; 23 May, Mondello Park, N Ireland; 6 June Thruxton, Hampshire; 20 June, Brands Hatch, Kent; 4 July, Knockhill; 18 July Mallory Park, Leics; 15 August, Croft, North Yorkshire; 30 August, Cadwell Park Park, Lincs; 12 September, Oulton Park, Cheshire; 19 September, Donington Park, Leics.
