John Reynolds has qualified on pole position for the fourth round of the British Superbike championship at Oulton Park.

Reynolds dominated the weekend finishing with the best times in both qualifying sessions. Saturday’s session saw his Rizla Suzuki Team-mate Yukio Kagayama close behind him with the second fastest time, but the Japanese rider couldn’t better his time on Sunday and was left to start the race in fourth place on the grid.

Second place on the grid goes to the Honda Fireblade riding Michael Rutter who finished Sundays qualifying .2 seconds behind Reynolds, with Sendo Ducati’s Dean Thomas taking the third fastest lap just .002 seconds slower than Rutter.

Gary Mason, Scott Smart, Sean Emmett and Leon Haslam make up the second row with Virgin Mobile rider Steve Plater relegated to ninth on the grid, alongside Glen Richards, James Ellison and his Virgin team-mate Tommy Hill.
