Jezza out for Oulton

Jeremy McWilliams will miss the Oulton Park round of the Bennetts British Superbike championship this weekend (April 30-May1), due to injury.

The 41-year-old Ulsterman has struggled since picking up an injury to his right shoulder at Thruxton during round two of the series. Medical advice has been for him to rest the injury.

“The injruy was preventing me from being in total control of the bike at Mallory and that’s not an ideal situation for me or the other diers,” said McWilliams. “I have a scan on Friday to determine the extent of the injury and that will determine the next step. Hopefully, the results will be positive and I can be back for Mondello.”

McWilliams is not the only rider to be sidelined through injury. Reigning champion John reynolds will also miss Outlon Park, and will be replaced by James Haydon, who is returning from injury. See more, right.
