Kiyonari on BSB pole

Ryuichi Kiyonari and Michael Rutter have taken the top two spots on the grid for Sundays British Superbike race.

Both the HM Plant Honda riders set a blistering pace but Kiyonari took the fastest lap at 50.593 with Rutter .2 of a second behind.

The two Hawk Kawasaki’s of Glen Richards and Dean Thomas finish the front row of the grid with Karl Harris in fifth followed by Leon Haslam and Scott Smart.

Gregorio Lavilla, the only man to challenge the HM Plant riders so far and now an official Ducati Airwaves rider after James Haydon stepped down, was relegated to eighth place on the grid, over .8 of a second down on Kiyonari.
