2005 road race calendars

The dates have been released for the 2005 race season with MotoGP heading to China for the first time and WSB going to Qatar.

The World Endurance championship was the first international race to be held at the Shanghai track last year and now the MotoGP circus will be heading to China in 2005. The much discussed US GP is also on the calendar but only the blue riband bikes will be at the track with the 125cc and 250cc machines missing the round.

The new US GP has also lead to the disappearance of a US World Superbike round. The space in the WSB calendar has now been filled with the new track at Qatar, Doha, that was opened for the first time for the GP at the beginning of October.

MotoGP will also visit the new circuit in Istanbul, Turkey for the first time after the Rio GP fell through.
