Farquhar wins Junior 'B'

Ryan Farquhar took victory in the Isle of Man TT Supersport Junior B race, winning by 14 seconds from Jason Griffiths.

Farquhar overcame the disapointment of retiring from two earlier races to overtake early leader and retiree John McGuiness on lap one. Bruce Anstey also retired on lap one, as Farquhar led Ian Lougher by four seconds with Griffiths a further nine seconds behind.

Lap two also saw Lougher forced out of the race, leaving farquhar, Griffiths and Porter to take the podium positions, with Guy Martin, Martin Finnegan and Jun Maeda completing the top six. Australian newcomer Cameron Donald was 11th.

Bruno Bonhuil, Walter Cordoba and Rob Frost crashed out of the race, with Bonhuil and Cordoba unhurt, and Frost discharged from hospital shortly after arriving. Also discharged was Dirk Kaletsch, who crashed in the Supersport A race on Monday. Nigel Davies, who suffered a fractured femur in the Superbike race on Sunday remains in hospital but is said to be quite comfortable.
