Haslam on Cadwell pole

Leon Haslam has qualified on pole position for the Cadwell Park round of the British Superbike championship, with team-mate Gregorio Lavilla starting from second on the grid.

Haslam posted a time of 1:26.392 to head title rival and reigning champion Lavilla on the grid. Shane Byrne put the Rizla Suzuki into third spot, with Tommy Hill fourth on the Virgin Yamaha.

It’s an all-Honda second row, with Karl Harris heading Jonathan Rea, Ryuichi Kiyonari and Michael Rutter. Steve Plater and Michael Laverty round out the top ten.
