Noise limits for four-stroke machines in ACU motocross and supermoto events are to be significantly reduced from January 1, 2008.

Next year’s noise limits will remain at 96dba for both two and four-stroke machines, but from next year all ACU events will fall into line with the recently-issued FIM regulations with four-stroke machines limited to 94dba, whilst two-stroke engines will maintain at the current 96dba level.

Even more stringent levels will be introduced from January 1, 2010, again following the regulations issued by the FIM which are anticipated to be announced in April 2007.
