Scott Smart said: “ For me personally, it was great to be back on a Superbike after such a long lay-off. After carrying some injuries towards the end of last season, I need to get bike fit again. The weather conditions could have worked against the team but we ironed out the teething problems and we all look forward to testing in what we hope will be warmer conditions.”

They will complete a four-day test at Cartagena in Spain next week ahead of the official British Superbike test at Snetterton on March 18 and 19.

Also at the track was Jentin Racing’s Jon Kirkham, happy with his GSX-R1000 despite only completing 12 laps due to the weather.
