Haslam takes Snet pole

Leon Haslam has taken pole position for the Snetterton round of the world superbike championship.

Haslam set the fastest ever lap around the circuit to take the top spot ahead of his team-mate Gregorio Lavilla.

Ryuichi Kiyonari, who topped Friday’s times will start the race in third place ahead of Yamaha Rider Tommy Hill.

Honda’s dominate the second row with only the Suzuki of James Haydon separating the Honda pairing of Karl Harris and Micahel Rutter and Jonathan Rea.

Simon Andrews, who is standing in for Jon Kirkham while he takes over Shayne Byrne’s Rizla Suzuki ride managed to qualify in 9th place while Kirkham only managed 12th.

Andrews is also racing in the Supersport race and qualified 7th on his 600.
