Ian Hutchinson has been stripped of his second place in yesterday’s Junior Supersport TT after minor technical error saw him fall foul in post race scruitineering.

Hutchinson took his McAdoo Kawasaki to second place, just eight seconds behind the winner john McGuinness but an examination of his bike after the race found the exhaust valve on the bike was lifting a fraction of a millimetre higher than allowed in Supersport rules. Officials did state they believed there was no intention to cheat on behalf of the team and the part was supplied to them by a third party.
