Leon Haslam has gone fastest in the second free practice session for the opening round of the British Superbike championship at Brands Hatch.

The Airwaves Ducati rider posted a best time of 46.318 over 45 laps, closely followed by Karl Harris with 46.337. Gregorio Lavilla was third quickest, Michael Rutter fourth, and Jonathan Rea fifth. For all the times, click here.

Free practice 1: Karl Harris tops the timesheets followin the first practice. The HM Plant rider lapped the Brands Indy circuit in a time of 48.421, almost half a second quicker than Stobart Honda’s Michael Rutter. BSB returnee Shane Byrne is third quickest on the Rizla Suzuki, followed by Airwaves Ducati’s Leon Haslam. Reigning champion Gregorio Lavilla is seventh quickest.
