Brands: warm-up

Michael Rutter has gone fastest during the Sunday warm-up session for the opening round of the British Superbike championship at Brands Hatch.

The Stobart Honda rider lapped the Brands Indy circuit in 47.773. Second quickest was Airwaves Ducati rider Leon Haslam with 47.797, followed by pole sitter Gregorio Lavilla on 47.808.

Fourth quickest was Karl Harris, with HM Plant team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari fifth. Sixth and seventh were Hydrex Honda team-mates Glen Richards and Gary Mason. Shane Byrne was eighth, Ollie Bridewell ninth and Dean Thomas tenth.

In Supersport warm-up, Cal Crutchlow posted the fastest time of 47.839, followed by Eugene Laverty with 47.939 and Stuart Easton with 47.961.
