Reigning British SUperbike champion Gregorio Lavilla will start his title defence from pole position at Brands Hatch on Sunday.

The Airwaves Ducati rider narrowly overcame the challenge from team-mate Leon Haslam, who had led both the second and third practice sessions. Lavilla’s time of 45.533 around the Indy circuit just 0.048 quicker than Haslam. Third fastest was the Honda of Karl Harris, followed by Dean Thomas on the Kawasaki, returning after two World Supersport rides. Jonathan rea was fifth fastest on the Red Bull Honda. In British Supersport, Stuart Easton will start from pole position on the Lloyds British Ducati as he improved to a time of 47.168 in the final qualifying session. Second fastest was Cal Crutchlow, heading seven Hondas, including Jamie Robinson, Dennis Hobbs, Jay Vincent, Eugene Laverty, Leon Camier and Joe Dickinson. For the full time sheet, click here.

Saturday morning sessions:

Leon Haslam has topped the third and final free practice session for the opening British Superbike round at Brands Hatch as he did in the second session on Friday.

The Airwaves Ducati rider lapped the Brands Indy circuit in 46.035 seconds to take the quickest time, just ahead of team-mate and reigning champion Gregorio Lavilla. Four Hondas followed, with Michael Rutter, Jonathan Rea, Ryuichi Kiyonari and Karl Harris. Shane Byrne is seventh quickest, Dean Thomas eighth, Michael Laverty ninth and Glen Richards tenth.
