Walker wins at Mallory

Chris Walker and Cal Crutchlow took the first two places for Rizla Suzuki at the Race of the Year at Mallory Park on Sunday, October 15, 2006.

Walker was riding to secure a permanent place in the team for 2007, and rode a dominant race, taking the lead at the first corner and never coming under fire. Crutchlow started from pole despite a crash in qualifying, swapping to his spare bike for the race.

An announcement on who will partner Crutchlow next season will be made shortly, with the team heading to Valencia in Spain for testing on November 1 and 2.
