BSB: Lavilla on pole

Reigning British Superbike champion Gregorio Lavilla has taken pole position for the penultimate round of the championship at Silverstone on Sunday, September 17, 2006.

Lavilla posted a time of 1:25.174 and will start from the front of the grid, with team-mate Leon Haslam, HM Plant Honda rider Ruichi Kiyonari and Red Bull Honda’s Jonathan Rea. Tommy Hill heads the second row from Karl Harris, Michael Rutter and Shane Byrne.
