Just back from a fantastic 9 days at the Centenary TT. While no one wants to hear of serious injury or worse, when put into context it is still a very small percentage when taking into account the number of racing miles covered alone, never mind practice sessions. All in all the Manx authorities excelled with their firm but fair advice throughout. However it would be interesting to know the reason that a travelling marshal “parked” his bike on a run off area at the Bungalow for the entire sidecar race (Weds) whist stationing himself on the opposite side of the course. Surely this contravened their own rules? However thankfully the race passed without incident but anyone who has watched there will know the boys don’t hang about.
