Bill Lomas: a tribute

With the passing away of Bill Lomas, a man with great technical and driving skills of road racing has left us. His contribution to many motorcycle brands of that time is unforgettable. His 2 times world championship 350cc on the Moto Guzzi single was a big acheivement for a small factory from northern italy. I was honored to meet him twice and was impressed by his excellent Italian speech. First time was during the 2003 version of the Coupes Moto Legende at Montlhery near Paris where he posed for me with the replica 500cc V8 Moto Guzzi. Second time was in a workshop in Mandello del Lario at Lake Como. I was totally surprised that Mr Lomas came walking in with some members of the board of the MGCGB. Bill Lomas: a man who will be on the wings of the golden Moto Guzzi eagle for ever.
