Olivers Mount Gold Cup

McGuinness, Lougher, Dunlop, Finnegan, Farquhar, and not least Guy Martin. You would be forgiven for thinking it’s the IoM. But these were a few of the boys who put on a tremendous show at Scarbourgh’s Olivers Mount Auto 66 Gold Cup meeting last weekend – a very well organised event with virtually non stop racing on either 2 or 3 wheels or in Nick Crowe’s case 2 wheels when it should have been 3!

It was a fantastic Sunday, with lap records tumbling at a rapid rate. This venue is well worth a look . There are so many vantage points within easy reach with a couple of cracking ones which with rope and tackle are accessible. My thanks to Tom Lowther and his crew for his advice on these. All in all it is a fantastic alternative to the “bigger events.”
