Manxman David Knight was in top form over the weekend at the French Enduro Championship where he came away with a successful overall win in Le Puy En Velay.

Riding his the KX450F, the Kawasaki Superbike Racing Team were using this event as a test session for the forthcoming World Enduro Championship event next week in Saint Flour, France, testing many suspension and set-up modifications throughout the event which proved a great success with the winning margin on the second day nearly one minute.

‘Knighter’ and the team were making changes at every check and he steadily increased his speed throughout the two-day event, which has built a lot of confidence in the team for next week’s event.

It was also good for the team to work with Kawasaki France and a great achievement and the bike’s potential was highlighted with Kawasaki filling the top three places on Sunday.

Knight said: “This was perfect practice for the upcoming WEC and the event was a good challenge and as expected the local riders were all very fast and competitive in their local event.

We made progress with the set-up of the bike throughout the event and I’m feeling more comfortable with each modification and I think we’re now in a position to challenge for the top of the podium in France. I’d like to thank all the guys at Kawasaki France for all their support over this event.”
