Hot on the heels of Honda, KTM has unveiled their 2014 450 Rally bike which will compete in the 2014 Dakar rally.

The bike will make its debut at the Rally of Morocco (October 13-19), the final round of the 2013 FIM World Cross Countries Rally Championship.

The factory’s decision to test the bike at the final round of the championship shows their confidence in the new machine, asMarc Coma leads the championship by three points ahead of Portugal’s Paolo Goncalves.

Three-times Dakar champion Coma will be hoping to take KTM to yet another Dakar victory on the new bike and will be joined by American Kurt Caselli and Ruben Faria from Portugal on the new bike.

Former team-mate and rival Cyril Despres signed to ride for Yamaha earlier this year after a long spell with the Austrian manufacturer.
