MCN Fantasy Road Race: Michael Laverty’s team

There are only a handful of days to go to get your MCN Fantasy Road Race in association with Bennetts Insurance team in place, ahead of this weekend’s opening round of the World Superbike championship!

Stuck for suggestions on just who’s going to do the business in 2016? Fear not, because we’ve talked to some of the biggest names in racing to get their views on just who they’d have in place were they a team manager (and only most of them picked themselves!).

Between BMW racers and actual relatives, it’s fair to say that Michael has kept it in the family with his team! Brother-in-law Chaz Davies leads his WSBK effort, backed up by fast German rookie Markus Reiterberger, while in BSB he goes for his own Tyco BMW squad of himself and friend and teammate Christian Iddon.

He also takes the not-too-surprising step of adding in reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo, although a Phillip Island crash and subsequent broken hand might see Danilo Petrucci take some rounds to get up to speed as his second rider!
