Cadwell Park British Superbikes: HM Plant Honda on top again at Cadwell Park

HM Plant Honda’s Ryuichi Kiyonari got the better of his teammate in the second free practice this afternoon at Cadwell Park.

The Japense rider recorded a best lap of 1:27.586 just before the 20 minute mark to top the timesheets and left it up to the rest of the field to try and beat him.

Airwaves Ducati’s Leon Haslam was fastest out of the pits setting an initial time of 1:29.481. But fastest man from this morning, HM Plant Honda’s Jonathan Rea was quick to answer back with a 1:29.309 before Haslam then set a 1:29.212.

Ryuichi Kiyonari shot to the top of the timesheets after seven minutes with a 1:28.713. Bike Animal Honda’s Leon Camier went second after eight minutes with his fifth lap at 1:28.786.

Leon Haslam returned to the top with a 1:28.679 after 10 minutes reminding the rest of the field what the Ducati’s are capable of.

Ryuichi Kiyonari knocked Haslam off the top with a 1:27.719 on his seventh lap, he then improved to set a 1:27.586 on the next lap around the Lincolnshire circuit.

Leon Haslam went second on his last circuit with a 1:27.728 while Bike Animal Honda’s Leon Camier was third on his last lap with a 1:27.728

Yamaha rider Simon Andrews fell off at Hall Bends just after 20 minutes but was okay. Rizla Suzuki’s Cal Crutchlow came off at Charlies just a few minutes after, he was also not hurt.
