Knockhill British Superbikes: Tom Sykes tops wet final practice

1 of 1

It’s all change at the top for the final free practice session of the Knockhill round of the British Superbike championship with Tom Sykes taking the fastest lap.

Leon Haslam and Shayne Byrne had been fighting over the top spots in the first two dry sessions but the rain came down for the final practice before qualifying and let Tom Sykes jump to the top of the time sheets with second placed man Cal Crutchlow a massive 0.3 seconds down.

The wet track made a massive difference to the times with Leon Haslam taking the third fastest lap 0.8 seconds down on Sykes and Byrne fourth a massive 1.125 seconds down on the Suzuki rider.

Billy McConnell put in a good show on the MSS Discovery Kawasaki ahead of Tristan Palmer, Leon Camier and James Ellison.
